Vac line mystery 850

I have a 1994 850 turbo wagon.

I had a student work on my car and change my evaporator. he did a nice job, but I now have a free and open vac line that comes out from underneath the gray plastic spark plug cover. The front of this loop of pipe runs underneath the gray cover and where it pops out(near the rotor) at the front of the engine and it is attached and runs to somewhere on the front of the engine. So that part of this vac line is fine.

It is the rear of this continous tube that runs under the gray cover that is unnattached and and is a mystery. I have a little 3 inch small piece of hose coming out of the back of the gray cover. The tube comes out near the Camshaft position sensor.

I have looked and looked for an open vac line that it is supposed to attach to and cannot find one. Where does this little tube attach? The car seems to run fine but I cannot imagine this line is supposed to be open.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

I have small pics if that would help but I was not sure how to include them.
Z
