stiff steering issue 850 1997

Mine has done the same over the years on my '94 850. All you have to do is apply some packing grease to the U joint found at the end of the steering column. My experience is this usually occurs over the winter months when the temperature drops below 0C. I get my mechanic to do the job because it's easily accessible from beneath when on a hoist. He doesn't even charge me for this. After a little penetrating grease is applied, the steering is back to normal.
