Stalls out for no reason 850 1993

I'm thinking I have a fuel issue but here are the symptoms:

Driving on the highway 60mph+ suddenly a loss of acceleration and begin to slow down, floor the pedal nothing happens. 1 of 2 things happen, either it stalls out and I coast to the emergency lane, or I get off at an exit, then its ok again by the time I get to the top of the light or something.

In the city : at random times engine will stall out W/O the AC on, or W/. Generally will not start up immediately but will have to wait a few minutes and then I'm going again (after ppl sit and honk / yell at me).

I'm thinking it may be a dirty fuel filter, hopefully, what is anyone's thoughts? I know on this year there are a lot of problems w/ the speed sensor wire too close to the distributor or something to where it can stall you out.

Thanks,

Erik
