Transmission swap S70 1999

I've seen this post before but only for RWD models. Is it possible to swap an automatic for a manual transmission? The auto is alright, not exactly sporty, and I would like to know if possible, is it a simple swap or do I need a new engine computer? Any information is appreciated.
