Stalls out for no reason 850 1993

My '94 850 wagon had the same trouble. It was the Camshaft Position sensor. (CMP) Have you checked yours codes yet? Whenever mine stalled, I got 314 or 324 for a code. It is easy to change but pricey. You can check voltage and ohms at the plug. www.volvospeed.com/CheckEngine.htm shows you how to check the codes.
Good Luck,
Ray
