change motor mount V70-XC70 1998

I did this on several 850s, which I believe have the same top mount. The procedure quoted in geo1's post is correct. Take your time, be careful, use REAL GOOD light so you can see what you are doing, and you will be fine.

While you are at it, check all the other engine mounts: on several of my cars, the transmission mounts had failed. Also, the arm for the upper mount has a smaller mount at the firewall. This had failed on my father-in-law's car, but was not evident until I removed the firewall mount and arm to inspect.

That said, it is a pretty simple procedure. Warning: my wife complains that the IPD poly bushing is loud at idle. It quiets down once the car is underway.
