window switch fix!-weird 850

My sons 850 had a window that wouldnt go up. After my suggestion of spray contact cleaner didnt work, we told him to test if it was the switch as it seemed the underside of the switch panel had exposed pins and he could jump the switch. He tells me hes not sure what he did- "sparks flew all over the place" - he quit and put it back together. Now- the window is working fine. (3 weeks now) FWIW -H
