Volvo's 16' five spoke turbine rim--non-directional? 850

I never noticed before until I started shopping for a set, whether the 16-inch rim five-spoke rim that came standard with the turbo's, were unidirectional or not. Friend of mine has a 96, and when you look at the direction the flat turbine veins turn, two turn toward the shoulder of the vein on one side of the car, two in reverse on the other. I thought these turbo rims were made to suck or push air across the rotors or out from under the car, but not if they are non-directional, as the set on my friend's 96 turbo wagon tends to suggest. He bought the car used, so doesn't know whether the set on it is factory or not. Dick
