That mysterious black box... S80

Steve -- the weird thing is my owners manual says (word for word):

"The orifice nipple in the intake manifold and the filter at the end of the PCV hose in the air cleaner should be inspected at 60K miles and thereafter at 30K mile intervals".

I'll be damned if I can find "the filter at the end of the PCV hose in the air cleaner". In fact, I don't see any PCV hoses running to the air cleaner at all.

The only thing I can figure is that the part about the filter is just plain wrong, and that this language was erroneously printed in the owners manual. I don't think it applies to my engine at all. (2.9...non-turbo).
