brake job cost 850

Hi,

Just took my 1996 850 GLE in for a brake job and spent over 500, which seemed high. They replaced front and rear pads, replaced the brake fluid, and installed new rotors on the front, arguing that it wasn't that unusual for volvos to have rotors wear out after 30k of use. When I asked about resurfacing, they said that it would run the rotors down below specs. This was an independent shop in California (labor at 80 to 90 per hour)--is 500 in a reasonable range for this kind of job?

Thanks!
