'Acceptable.'

Hi,

It looks like Volvo doesn't have the edge in safety any longer.

The IIHS test of the S60's side impact protection earned an "acceptable" grade due to the potential for pelvic injury.

The Audi A4 earned a "good" grade due to its high performance airbag system. Interestingly, the Chevy Malibu earned a "poor" without and a "good" with its side airbag system.

The Volvo appeared to suffer more instrusion than the Audi, despite its SIPS structure.

Bryan
