850R:custom catback- worth it? 850

I found a shop here on Oahu, HI, that will do a cat back w/ 2.5" piping for around $350.00 for my 850R wagon. (Showed them a couple of pics of the TME/Steffanson exh. and they said OK.) The wagon is stock, the usual issues(new rear main seal, new belts, new ac evap, etc) have been taken care of, car runs like a champ, thank God. Even got her repainted.
Will there be a performance gain I can perceive from replacing the stock exhaust w/ a 2.5" straight-through system?
