A/C repair 1997

It probably is the evaporator, make sure that you get the pollen filter kit installed in it when you do it. $950.00 is a smokin' deal on that, it will set you back closer to $1500.00 at the local dealers around here and the local independent wants 1700.00 and needs it for two days. Also make sure that they replace the plastic arm for the recirc door and heavily scrutinize the heater core while they are in there because they are known leakers as well. Although I have repaired leaks in other places on the 850's the evaporator is really the only repeat pattern failure that I see in these a/c systems. So, it could be leaking from somewhere else but the odds are against it.
