Antifreeze overflowed today in 95 degree heat V70-XC70

My 1998 V70 AWD with the light pressue turbo engine decided to spill antifreeze out what appears to be the coolant overflow on the passennger side of the car. It looked to be a fair amount of antifreeze and now the car is just at the minimum coolant level. It was a very hot day in Pennsylvania today reaching over 100 degrees on macadam. Could the system simply have had too much fluid and it boiled off via teh overflow? Is this something can even happen with this car? The car has about 88k miles and 5 months ago had a new radiator and heater core placed in the car (bad winter for repairs) so the shop may have over filled?? Any ideas what could cause this spill/leak?

Thanks
