Sad Car 850 1994

Just had the timing belt changed (139,000) give or take.
Had freind look at engine today and was told that a large
hose had come loose and (don't know name of it, just hose).
The engine wasn't getting the proper gas/oyxgen and therefore
causing the black smoke. If this turns out to be the case I will
be very happy!!!
