Low Pressure A/C Switch 850

My low pressure A/C switch has gone bad. I have it temporarily jumpered while the new one comes in. Here is my question. I know some cars have a valve underneath the switch so the system does not have to evacuated and purged. Does anyone know if the 850 has such a valve? Mine is a 1996 850GLT. If it has the valve then I can just unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. If it doesn't have the valve then I will need to take it to a shop as I don't have that type of A/C equipment.
