A few problems S80 1999

Guys,

I have a 1999 2.4 auto se S80 with 120K on the clock. I am very happy with it apart from a few niggles and I am wondering if anyone can shed any light on them?

1) There is a clunking noise coming from the right hand side front of the car when I go over a bump, I have had the track rod ends replaced and it has not cured it. Also since the clunk has started the steering wheel has become off centre. Any ideas?

2) I have folding electric mirrors and when I tried to 'open'them up from their closed position only one mirror opened the other one stayed closed flat against the car. Now the electric mirrors don't work and if I press the button to fold the mirrors in, one folds in and one stays were it is and if I press the button again, the flat one comes out and the one that is out folds back in again. Is there a way I can get the mirrors back in sync?

3) I have a 5 speed auto box and when I go to engage drive on a slope the gearbox seem to select drive and then 'jump' quite violently forward, it's like it selects drive once and then slams into gear. It only happens on a slope so I'm thinking transmission fluid level?, anyone any ideas?

Apart from those points the car's fantastic.

Thanks for your help.

Regards

John
