Engine Flush-turbo? 850 1997

It is not wear, it is one of your hydraulic lifters. The fine print in the owner's manual says this is OK. I believe them, my old Mazda ran over 100K miles with the problem.
With only 38K, probably got a little sludge build up blocking the lifter a little. It should stop ticking when fully warmed up. You may want to "race" the engine once if it is still ticking after 15 minutes.
