A/C High-Pressure Sensor and A/C Relay: need to be 'reset?' 850 1995

My theory: upon FULL-throttle, the compressor is supposed to be briefly shut down, correct? Also, couldn't the pressure jack up in the system due to FULL-throttle, thereby tripping the High-Pressure Cutoff Switch (eg, either w/ a slight overcharge of system or a lame Hi-P Switch).

My compressor only comes back on with a restart of car, even if car is only off for 5 seconds. I'm wondering if 1) the A/C Relay is even involved with the FULL-throttle situation in the first place, and, if so, 2) could the relay be faulty and sticking until a car restart which might reset relay?
