Door locks open, then close 850 1996

Here are some experiments you can do that will help us diagnose your problem:

When it locks itself back, does it sound like the electric lock, or a gentle "slip back" type relocking?

When the car relocks itself, does the alarm LED light up like the door has been locked?

Does it do the same thing on the passenger side door?
If not, does it do it on the second unlock?

If you use the keychain, then insert your key, does the door relock?
