AC pressure reading 850

Hello,
I just bought from auto parts store one of those AC freon recharge w/in line gauge. It's labeled "EZ chill system" I beleive made by Interdynamics. My car's AC runs good when in transit but at time when on idle (or stop and go)AC is not as cool. Have to rev up gas for compressor to blow cooler air when idle moreso when ambient temp is 90+.
My query is when i connected the gauge to low pressure port marked 6na w/compressor off, it read 60psi w/c is on the alert status based on the gauges info but when I started the car and run AC compessor for 10mins in coldest setting and blower on high, gauge read 40psi? I drove the car for 30mins w/ambient temp of 85 and check again on low port gauge w/c read 25psi?
When am i suppose to add freon or what is the best thing to do?
thanks again...
