Armie,

Thanks for your reply. After doing more research, I have found out that the Volvo head units after 1995 require a different cable; one with a "Volap" or "Blitzsafe" on them. The cable that I have been using does not contain the "box" on it and therefore this is likely the problem. Interestingly, it was not the Volvo dealer who told me of this or even knew about this issue.
