brake failure stop asap S80 2000

my 2000 s-80 with 102000 miles has recently been giving me warning lights. While driving, the dash light warning is Brake Failure Stop Safely ASAP. When that warning comes on the Trip odometer reads------. The Lights on the right of the dash that come on are BRAKE ABS and the STC symbol.

These warnings go away after a few minutes with out any brake failure as far as I can tell. Once theses warnings go away I have 2 messages. One is Power Steering Service required and STC service required. The power steering is fine at highway speeds but is hard at low speed turns. Once the car is off for a short period of time and restarted the symptons are gone. They have been comming on almost every day. I have read that it might be a leak in the vacuum system of the abs system. It also says that the ABS module might need to be replaced which is very pricey. Please no. I just had Volvo replace my throttle module for labor($90) only a few weeks ago. Thanks for any suggestions.
