Multiple misfires 850 1996

Well, the day is done. Here's to follow up: replaced the plugs, dried everything out, that did the trick. Went back to all 5 auto parts stores in Savannah trying to round up what Mark recommended. No luck. Went ahead and replaced the rotor and cap with the best I could find and had to replace the air filter with a NAPA Gold filter- it was the only one available at any store. Frustrating search for all.

Thanks for the heads up about the rotor screws Mark- you were dead on about it, and the whole process was easy. Took out the air filter compartment and cleaned it out and cleaned up everything I could while I had it all taken apart.

We have a Volvo dealership here but the service part is closed on the weekends and I wanted to get this done before Monday. I am going to order some good distributor cables online, though.

It's back to running like a dream.
