Potential purchase '01 S80 2.9L S80 2001

Hello all,

We are owners of a 98 Cross Country (yes, we've dealt with the ABS module - among other things) and I am looking at trading our Explorer in for an '01 S80 with 41k miles. It's at a Honda dealership here in Columbus, OH listed for 17,999$.

Questions are:
> What are your thoughts about "ironing out" the early S80 bugs?

> Does $17,999 seem fair for this car?

> What MPG does the S80 2.9L get?
