Questions on routine maintenance 850 1996

We got Arabella, our 850, about 5,000 miles ago, and I'm getting ready for routine maintenance at 140,000 before a vacation trip. Some questions, if I may:

1. The Haynes manual makes no reference to spark plug wire resistance - I've learned over the years that plug wires often appear fine but have very high resistance. Anyone know what the acceptable range is - or are these somehow radically different from other plug wires?

2. Is it possible to test the timing belt tensioner pulley, tension plunger, and idler pulley before I tear into the timing belt replacement? I know the answer is almost certainly "no," but...Groton's prices are a LOT better, but not quite as immediately available when I'm working, and the car is LOML's daily driver.

3. I've looked at the Haynes manual and Bay 13 (quite a resource!). Any other useful tips?
