'96 remote key - which one?? / Calling SNORI

Per instructions from a former posting from "Snori" I located my remote transmiter box behind my glovebox. (So I do in fact have a remote system installed, just can't interface with it yet!!) The point of this was to find out my transmiters P/N which corresponds to the model of remote fob it will recognize. Being as mine is a '96, apparently there are 3 different styles of remote for this year:

P/N 9148646 = remote A
9128709 = remote C
9128927 = remote H

My transmiter has 914864 5 and "A" , so I'm assuming I need an "A" transmitter. I just purchased one off of ebay which my receiver will not respond to. There is no letter on my remote unit(A,C, or H), but it is the one with two side by side oval shapes "LOCK" and "UNLOCK" left and right respectively.

Does any one know which model this would be (A,C or H) so I might replace it with the correct one? Does anyone use a '97 style remote (top / bottom orientation) on their '96? That might be the one I need to look for. I hope I have not completely confused everyone!

thanks,

sk
