tires for volvo s60 S60 2002

the stock tires of my 3 year old s60 michelin pilot has always given me problems since day 1. where i park, i have to go up a curved steep ramp in order to get on the road. if its been raining a while, the tires just slip, and it doesnt help even if i press the W button, or drive very very slowly. other cars make it up with no problem. now i want to change the tires hoping it will improve things. any suggestions? basically i want a tire that wont slip, so what is the stickiest tire s you can recommend? i called my volvo dealership and they suggested continentals.
