Throttle Module replacement - 99 V70 V70-XC70

Hello - I've decided to go ahead and replace this as opposed to torching the car.

The cost from my dealer (University volvo, Charlotte, NC) is $875 total. I made sure I said the replace the entire unit - they said it was a new throttle module.

I've read blurbs on this board that this repair is at least $1000. I want to make sure they aren't quoting me something different. Any suggestions on how I make sure they understand what I want, or have I done that?

Just want to cover details. Thanks.

Also - anybody know the typical cost from an independent for timing belt/tensioner on a 99 V70? Is this a tricky job?

Thanks
