Fluid everywhere Help!! 850 1997

'97 850 wagon NA, 153K, 2 rear main seals
Haven't been here in a while, but have always been helped. Thanks.
I came to my block today and noticed bad shifting. I put in reverse to park and car didn't roll. I looked under the hood and fluid was on the battery tray and all around, no fluid registering on the trans dip stick with car idling. Help!
Before my vacation, and driving 500 miles or so, I had the brakes looked at and other stuff, and we noticed a small bit of fluid around the axle seal. Do these blow dramatically? Am I going to need a tow? Mech is a few miles away. Tell me what you know.
