Vacuum leak/ sucking noise when throttle cracked open S70

1998 Volvo s70 t5

Lost a few vacuum caps on the vacuum tree and since replaced them. Now I have a sucking noise, a vacuum leak i presume, that i can hear when the throttle is just cracked. after the throttle is opened, the noise is gone, partly droned out by the engine. you can hear air escape, it sounds like, when the engine is shut off.

i went over everythign for a while tonight and didn't find any noticeable vacuum leaks, and identifying where the sound was coming from is really hard. used the propane to test, and also my stethoscope and and hose to help idenitfy source of sound/leak.

Any one have any ideas or common failures to check out?

Idle air motor maybe?

Thanks in advance,

smith
