Rear wheels not moving V70-XC70 1998

I parked my car about ten days ago before going away. I started it up today and behold, it wouldn't move either forward or in reverse. Thinking it might be the parking brake I pulled it on and released it a number of times - no success. I jacked the car up and hand moved the tire easily about 2". I then put on the parking brake and the tire wouldn't move at all. It's the same on both sides. Neither the ABS/Tracs light is on, although it had intermittently come on in the past. Afraid to have it towed as I'm not sure what other damage might occur dragging the back wheels. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
