THUMP 850 1995

Check engine mounts, especially the front mount. The "front" mount is actually located by the front right wheel and is accessible by folding back a portion of the plastic wheel well cover. Bay 13 at volvospeed.com has a comprehensive description (with pictures) on how to check and replace this mount. The front seems to be a fairly common failure and I noticed that when it fails it also causes the firewall to engine mount (on top of the engine) to get misaligned.
