One for an A/C tech: What's 'normal' for the A/C system? 850 1997

It is normal for the ac to cycle when at idle. The compressor is supposed to stop at 22psi and and kick in at 45psi. When the r134a is low, the 45psi is never reached and the compressor never kicks in, resulting in no ac.
You may be over charged and need to bleed some out. Be careful, the gases are extremely cold and will burn your fingers. 32/65 seems out of whack. Remember the high side pressure will exceed 200psi under normal conditions. You may be exceding the parameters of the system. I do like the sound of 38F at the vents!

Wonder why Europeans don't install American ac systems? Why can't we when ours breaks?
