heavy vibration when braking 850

I have the same problem. Definately not from rotor warp as the vibration does not change as the car slows. Only occurs on the left hand side of my car. No evidence of vibration on the right.

Sending the car in for service and will probably go back to volvo pads and rotors on all 4 - due to replace the brakes anyway. Hopefully that will correct the vibration.
