Oil leak from '99 XC Turbo oil return line or oil drain plug? V70-XC70 1999

Hello,

I have a '99 XC with 65,000 miles on it. At approximately 60,000 miles, I noticed oil dripping / collecting near the oil drain plug. I thought perhaps I hadn't tighten the drain plug enough, the last time I changed the oil. I change the oil every 5,000 miles. I changed the oil, oil filter, and installed a new aluminum Volvo washer. I made sure the plug was good and tight.

5,000 miles later at the next oil change, I noticed that oil again was dripping / collecting at the drain plug. As I looked at it, I noticed, that it appeared the oil was dripping onto the plug and not out of. Is it possible, the oil leak is from the turbo oil return line, and not the oil drain plug itself? I would like to hear other opinions. Thanks to all who respond.

Hugh
