The 'old' SV40.... S40-V40

You've got that right regarding the engine. My 2000 V40 is looking at its second turbo replacement with barely 90k miles on the car. Also the standard timing belt service ($$$) will be soon, at 105k miles. If Oliver can afford the "new generation" S40/V50 that came here starting in 2004 1/2, that's a whole different ball game.

Thinking of taking my V40 back to the dealer (I'm still within their generous refund period) and buying a 1994 940 Turbo sedan or a 1996 850 Turbo sedan. The 940 is probably the best.
