Check engine liught V70-XC70 1998

Uh.....please dont. Sooner or later the lights gonna come on for a reason of some significance. Like when his fuel mileage dramatically drops, youll want to find out why. And as mentioned in a previous reply, more & more states are starting to fail smog tests just for a CEL on. Regardless of whether or not the bulb is plugged in. My advice is to invest in an inexpensive OBD-II code reader. Advance auto parts sells an ACTRON model & Wal-Mart sells an INNOVA model, both for approx $100. These can usually be used to diagnose most 1996 and newer vehicles, not just Volvo. Theyre easy to use, plus if you need help with a code you can post it here or on another site(volvospeed.com) and get advice that can potentially save you big $$$. Youll find Volvo has one of the more dedicated support communites online. Anyways, thats just my .02
