I had my car in for the 52,500 service. I complained about my engine surging at idle especially under the a/c load. They told me that the 'required maintenance' was to clean the imfamous ETM because of carbon build up and charge me 2 hours labor @ $94 per hour. I told them "no".
My complaint is this, why wasn't this done when the car was under warranty. I had the car in twice before; first time new upgrade to software. Second time was MAF was replaced. Why didn't they just clean the ETM when under warranty?
It's at times like these that I wish a recall would be announced.
