What impact has Ford had on Volvo? S70

Ford had no input on the S70's.

Tell your friend to chill, he needs to check his facts. The last model year for the S70's was 2000, around the time Ford bought Volvo Cars.

The S70 is a great car (possible exception 98's due to platform/bodystyle change from 850 to S70's) with a basic engine that has stood the test of time.

I've owned my 2000 S70 GLT-SE new, and currently 80 miles on it with minimal repairs, mostly wear and tear items.

It's a great car and has given dependable service and still has saftey features that some cars don't have.
