Flashing lights on climate control system 850 1994

The other day when I started my car, the AC light and the "recycle air" light both started flashing. I turned them on and off a couple of times and they stopped flashing. The air conditioner was working fine. Then later, when I turned up the AC, they started flashing again. Since that day, about a week ago, they haven't flashed again.

The owner's manual says they will flash for 20 seconds when there is something wrong with the ECS system. I'm wondering if anyone knows what I'm in store for. I'm assuming something is wrong and they will start flashing again sooner or later.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
