Flashing lights on climate control system 850 1994

Two issues:

1) I believe if the lights are flashing that you can "pull a code" from the ECC which might give some clue as to the problem.

2) I think that many similar failures have been traced to an accumulation of lint and other gunk in the cabin temperature sensor. I believe in your car that the sensor lives on the headliner just behind the grab handle. People (not me) have removed the sensors and vaccuumed out a lot of fuzz. Be careful because I believe there is a small and fragile fan inside the sensor unit. If the fan can't turn, it can activate the flashing lights you describe.

Hope this helps.
