Homelink Garage Door Opener - FINAL CHAPTER S70 2000

I got it working. The instructions on the Homelink website are different than in my Volvo owners manual. Following the Homelink steps worked immediately, to my relief.

I believe what has happened here is that in the process of using the OBD-II to look for problems elsewhere when the car was at the dealer last week, the technician did something to reset the Homelink module (and I'm assuming that the Homelink is also monitored/controlled by OBD-II). I believe that is the only explanation why it worked to lower the garage door when I went to the dealer but wouldn't open it when I came home.
