Unlocking Radio with the correct code

After re-connecting the battery, I incorrectly entered the wrong code 3 times. (I used the code for my other Volvo). The radio is now locked up and showing "off". I have disconnected the battery again (for extended time) in the hope of it allowing me to enter the correct code upon re-connection of power. Obviously, this did not work.

What do I need to do to get the locked radio to allow me to re-enter the proper code???
