Intermittent turn signal failure with new ignition switch 850 1996

Hi,

My '96 850 (130,000mi) recently developed an intermittent turn signal failure problem. I suspected the electrical portion of the ignition switch and so I replaced it this past weekend. However, the turn signal still fails (intermittently but most of the time it does not work).

I had ABS module repaired by Vic some three months ago (the ABS works fine since then - no ABS light). The turn signal lights (bulbs) are OK. When the turn signal stops working, everything else is fine (dash lights on, headlamps on, can shift into gear).

Perhaps the stalk switch? I've read that they rarely fail.

Thank you for your advice,
Peter
