Loud engine noise on restart 850 1994

I have just finished changing the coolant in my 850T (1994). When I tried to refill the coolant, I cranked the car but the engine sounded like one that did not have any muffler attached - really obnoxiously loud.

My mechanic has checked the timing & serpentine belts and everything seems to be OK. I cannot imagine that changing the coolant can cause problems like this. This should be a straight forward piece of maintenance.

Caan anyone shed light on this problem?? My 850 & I have been separated for a week now. We would like to get back together and keep this relationship alive.

Thanks!!

Mike
