oil consumption increasing 850 1995

Thanks - there was oil spraying around underneath until I replaced a camshaft seal. Now it is really dry all the time - I've looked a number of times.

I understand about the rings - though the oil has looked dirty before changing as far back as I remember - before the usage increased. And I have so far not seen blue smoke at startup or any other time.


2 other Volvos I had started to consume oil at this rate around 180K or so. It's just that 130K seems early for what should be a better designed engine.
