oil consumption increasing 850 1995

Radiator looks clean - thanks. The coolant is compeletely clean too. I wasn't aware of engine oil being cooled by the radiator - just auto transmission oil. This car is not a turbo - do the turbos include an engine oil cooler?

The car was bought used at age 2 years from a Volvo dealer with 34K miles on it and appeared to have received nothing beyond the minimal warranty-specified maintenance. I suppose it's possible its early life was rough, or even that it has more miles on it than indicated. I've encountered 3 or 4 used cars at dealerships with non-working odometers - suggesting they forgot to reconnect them after reprogramming the mileage.
