loud engine noise S60 2001

HELLO
MY S60 IS MAKING A LOUD SIREN SOUND...COMING FROM THE ENGINE. BROUGHT IT TO BE REPAIRED...THEY HAD IT FOR A WEEK SAID IT WAS A CLOGGED...? VENT....CLOGGED WITH OIL AND SLUDGE. THEY CLEANED THAT OUT...BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED. THE NOISE SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN THE ENGINE IS WARMED UP. IT CAN BECOME VERY LOUD...LIKE A BANK ROBBERY. THEY SAID IT WASN'T ANY BELTS. THIS IS A VOLVO DEALERSHIP...I KNOW THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT....ANY IDEAS? THANKS.
