smell of anti freeze 850 1995

just bought a 95 850 turbo wagon w/ 88k for 3500$, red w/blk leather and all the bells and whistles.. i absolutely love it! few problems though.. i smell anti freeze when i turn the heat on! (heater core?) sometimes the brakes squeak pretty loud, but not always (sticky caliper?) unfortunately i bought the car with no service records from a dealer who got it from a woman in california(now in rhode island) my boss(has a 98 v70 wagon) who told me about this site checked it out and said its in better shape than his 98 and i got a good deal. I just wanted to get some more opions and what would be a fair price to fix the heater core.. i know its behind the dash so..$$$ thanks -TJ

also i have a 2001 XC w/55k and i keep hearing a a clicking noise behind the glove box(evporator?) any ideas?
